To find a church of this quality lost at the end of a country cul-de-sac, through a farmyard, is one of the special delights of West Wales. It was designed by John Middleton of Cheltenham and built in 1869-70 in the Early English style. Polychrome banding decorates the wall planes in this strong and simply shaped church. To use a contemporary phrase, this is a "muscular church" an architectural manifestation of the Oxford Movement.
